Grating Momma Bear
Well I got tired of picking my puck up out of the wooden box, lathering on it, loading my brush on it, tryin to catch the saopy water runnin off of it, dryin it off everytime i used it. So i grated it and packed it into momma bears wooden soap box. It literally takes 10 swirls of my brush to load it now. Its amazing. This soap is awesome.

And the beautiful aroma of oranges combined with the luxurious feel of this soap is amazing. Before i found this soap I used vermont country stores soap, after a minute i could feel it burn my face. If i shaved a few days in a row it would make my skin flake off. Im woderin what was in that stuff. It sure softened whiskers though! Anyways my point is i shave everyday now with momma bears and it actually makes my skin feel better.

So everyone should grate their soap! It makes it load way easier.

BeeMan,
Mama Bear is a fine soap and creator Sue Clark an artist. There is nothing wrong with grating the soap, as you do, but I have never seen the need for that — just find a bigger soap bowl.
Incidentally, from what I can tell from the photo, your lather is a wee bit too watery. Lather generally should have the consistency of meringue. Keep working the lather more, and start with less water — you can always add more water, but you can't take it out.
By the way, here is an article I wrote on Sue Clark and Mama Bear:

I appreciate your advice! What is meringue? I make it a bit wet so by the time i rub it into my face good it is thw right consistency.

Meringue is made by whipping egg whites (usually with a small amount of cream of tartar) until stiff. It's traditionally used (here in the USA) for Lemon Meringue Pie and other such types.
