I get what your doing and no one should take offense. :<0) It is interesting and some of the price differences can certainly be in the ingredients. I know some essential oils can cost much more than others etc. etc. I thought about this but price is not something of a concern when I buy soaps. Smell and how it works is what sells me on it.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

They ended up ranging from $1.91/oz to $4.00/oz. The purchase price, which ranged from $9.00 to $20.00, is not necessarily the best gauge of “Bang for the Buck”, all other criteria aside.

This is the list I compiled. Please feel free to add to it.

Cost Per Ounce Priced From Lowest to Highest-All in Tins or Tubs
Stirling-$1.91 based on cost of $9.00
Synergy-$2.00 based on cost of $15.95
Petal Pushers Fancies-$2.37 based on cost of $18.95
Dapper Dragon-$2.50 based on an avg. cost of $10.00
    Catie’s Bubbles-$2.50 based on cost of $20.00
Maggard-$2.59 based on cost of $12.95
LA Shaving Soap-$3.56 based on cost of $16.00
Cold River Soap Works-$3.75 based on cost of $15.00
Tiki Bar-$4.00 based on cost of $14.00
Barrister & Mann-$4.27 based on cost of $16.00
Thanks for starting this. It would be nice to keep this list, have people add to it, and to keep it updated. It would serve as a helpful reference for cost conscious buyers. Meanwhile, I added Mama Bears‘ soap to it, per Airportcopper’s request. I hope I did it right. I just stuck it in, in order per cost, and put it in bold so that it can be seen that it was an addition to the original.

So, thanks very much for the great post. I appreciate it. Here’s the revised list —>

Thanks for starting this thread, Lince.

Miles's Natural Soaps $2.20/oz based on cost of $11.
Mike's Natural Soaps $2.30/oz based on cost of $11.50

I found it surprising when comparing the price/oz for Cella. The 1000gram is $1.05/oz, the 150 gram is $2.08/oz.

Lince, this is a good idea. It is something I've often wondered about but haven't bothered to calculate.
