Thanked: 0stupid question about creams, or not?
i have never used cream, mainly cause it's really hard to find from Finland, even soap is hard find... today i saw in cosmetic shop some shaving cream made by nautik in Germany? so this is my question, are all creams latherable? or is there different creams for lathering? all the text was in that tube in german and i don't talk germany... i didn't want to buy it, before i know how to use it... seller didn't know anything about it
and there was also some other cream, Latitude Longitude by Nautica - Shave Cream.. seller didn't know anything about that either...

Various creams have different lathering properties.. You have brushless and the ones designed to be used with brushes (the ones we mostly use). Even within the same type, there are variations. My recommendation is to try them and write reviews on'em

Thanked: 0thanks... i'll try it, but i'm also going to order some taylor's cream directly from them in UK... that posed to be good, that brings me into another question, how many shaves that 150g lasts? since i have to pay whole lot of shipping costs i was thinkin' that i order atleast 3-4 of those, so will it go bad with time if not used?

A single cake should last you 3-6 months. If you're worried about REALLY long term storage, you can always put'em in ziploc bags and keep them in the fridge, but that's a bit of an overkill. I had a bunch of Colleen's soaps in open ceramic bowls for over a year and they're still keeping their (most excellent) scents.

It is possible that some things on the market sold as “shaving creams” may be designed more as a soothing aftershave sort of product, what we generally refer to as balms. Or, perhaps, even chemical hair removers. Anything is possible if you don’t know for sure. Bear in mind, they call the aerosol cans of dry foamy goop “shaving cream.” This is where being able to understand what the package says comes in handy, or finding someone with some knowledge of the particular product. Unfortunately, I am unable to help with either, but I would advise a certain degree of caution until you know what the product is supposed to do. Then give it a try and write a review. Unless, of course, it is a chemical hair remover, then I might recommend keeping it far, far away from your face and even farther away from your brush.
At any rate, the decision to order a well known shaving cream or two seems wise, especially if you do write a review of the products you found locally. It is always good to give yourself a baseline benchmark.

Thanked: 0i found review of that Kappus Nautik shaving cream from badger&blade.com, in shaving creams section, it ahs only one reviewer, but he says it pretty good... he says like this, ''It has a clean, pleasant scent, it lathers nicely, provides plenty of soothing moisturization as well as a refreshing effect''

Mr.Snoopy,
A tub of Taylors should last for around 90 shaves.
Unopened tubs should last for a long time. The
tub of Taylors Lavender cream that I have in my
rotation was bought in October of 2005. This scent
is just as strong today as it was then.
I'm sure you will enjoy Talylor's creams, regardless
of the scent(s) that you choose.
