Razorock Don Marco AKA Bergamotto goodness
I finally tried my Razorock Don Marco (Bergamotto Neroli) croap jar last night, and it was an amazing shave.
10 seconds of swirling with a pre-soaked-but-water-squeezed-out Semogue Finest Badger (SOC 2011 LE, size 2) and I had enough lather for at least 4 pass.
Slickness was great on the first pass. Moisturizing was just perfect.
The scent? Intoxicating. The nice fresh smell of orange and grapefruit from the bergamot, with a sweet candy touch.
Matching Aftershave? Of course I had to get it!
The Don Marco AS Splash is not overly moisturizing, if at all, but it's definitely not drying.
A light alcohol sting is present at first, but it's quickly replaced by a nice cooling effect that lasts for about 5 minutes.
The bergamot smell is even stronger here and lats for a couple of hours.
The Lady was almost licking my face after smelling it... I assume that counts as a SWIMBO Seal of Approval.

I bought one of these a while back. I wanted to try a razorock soap, and the bergamot and neroli seemed like it would be something that I'd enjoy.
While I did enjoy the scent, I found that, for me anyway, it was lacking in slip and left a sort of dry texture on my skin
After reading this post, I pulled it out of the cupboard to revisit on my next shave. I'll post my results, just for the heck of it.

Well, the second shave with the Don wasn't as glorious as the first.
As I like to experiment and vary methods with new soaps, this time I didn't squeeze the water out of the brush prior to loading.
It took a lot more work to get a proper lather that wasn't runny, and even then the water/soap ratio wasn't in favor of good slickness.
I ended up with a few nicks and lots of redness.
I'll go back to squeezing the water out and adding drops as needed...

RazorRock soaps are good soaps. They are very pleasant to use but the main issue with them is the scent. If you like the scent, great. If not and I am not a fan of Don Marco, the scent reduces the enjoyment. Don Marco smells like bubble gum to me. Now San Valentino is another story.
Nothing is as it ever was.

"I",
I agree about the San Valentino scent. I used it this morning. It is a great "manly" rose scent.

I have to say I very much enjoy Don Marco. To me I get more of the orange scent then anything. Almost could take a bite out of it. Swimbo has since confiscated it for her legs. So I have an empty hole in the soap line up. May have to try some San Valentino as RR is great soap.

Sorry....the San Vanentino was a 2014 Limited Edition and is sold out. Lot of others to choose from though....

Too much choice I'd say... I wish he did a sampler pack...
I agree that the Don has a very candy-like smell that might not do it for most.
The XXX is next in the drawer, I have yet to open it and smell it. I didn't get the matching A/S though; I don't have a lot of space to hoard shaving supplies...

A sampler pack would be great. I took a gamble when I bought my first couple because I didn't have any experience with RR. After using them I will say that the performance is consistent. So as long as the smell is good its a winner.
