Thanked: 3225In general but not always, I have found that tallow soaps seem to give me the slickness that I like. Mind you The Body Shops Maca Root cream is a veg soap and seems pretty slick along with MdC and a few others. With any soap or cream you have to hit on the right technique/ soap to water ratio to get a good lather.

The problem in the UK can be hard water - I'm with MJC, a drop of Glycerine helps - it's readily available from High Street pharmacies.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Thanked: 3215+3 on 2-3 drops of Glycerin, about 6 buck here in the US. One bottle is a 2 plus year supply. CVS in the US carries it on the shelf.
Add 2-3 drops to your mug or bowl make your lather, lather your face, then add a bit more soap, 2-3 swirls and face lather, nice thick, slick lather.
More water will give you a thicker lather, not necessarily a slicker lather.

One of my top three soaps, which is also from the UK, is Wickham Super Smooth. You won't find a better performing soap, including slickness.
