    It has a scent like a strong evergreen. You think of it as being associated with spaghetti sauce because it's largely associated with the Mediterranean but the next time you're in the grocery store... If your grocery stores there have herbs in them... Just go by and rub the leaves and have a sniff. It's a member of the mint family so it also has a slight tinge of catnip type scent to it.
    I used to make tea from it for my wife when she got migraines. It was one of the few things that would get rid of the migraines without heavy side effects.
