i have a block of p.160 (first production)
after manay years it work well...but smell is nothing(only smell of soap) . I'm thinking to add some essence oil to profumated it.
So...after few months....my favourite is ,again, Windsor of Harris.....i'm mad for it"Consider well the seed that gave your birth: you were not made to lives as brutes, but to following virtue and knoweledge"
Dante's The Divine Comedy:Inferno XXVI.

Thanked: 14My current favorite is Barrister & Mann, any scent. This American artisan soap gives top notch performance, pleasant scents, larger diameter jar for easy loading at a reasonable price. IMO Barrister & Mann performs as well as Martin de Candre at half the price with more scent varieties.

Thanked: 2I just tried out some C.O. Bigelow Premium Shave Cream that was given to me. I was pleasantly surprised and it is defiantly finding a spot in the rotation.

Revisited this morning, a soap that I used years ago, Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge shaving soap. Very very VERY nice. Used with a Somerset era Simpson Duke 3 in Best and really took my time both loading the brush and working up an amazing lather on my face. Great scent and lather. Very nice post shave feel. Bought the refill puck (it is pricey).

Thanked: 4I was able to take a break this weekend, really take my time to enjoy a good shave and I used my C&E Nomad. I really like the scent but it is a bit weak, with NO hang time. Anyone know of an aftershave that carries this a bit further? I'm new to scents and after shaves, (hell, I'm new to all of this). This soap has been a bit of a challenge for me to get a good lather that doesn't dry out before the end of the shave. I prefer to lather my whole face at once and have found that I prefer a rather wet lather w/this soap. It gives more glide which seems to be more important to my face than cushion. Anyone else have any experience using C&E soaps? So many choices and so few shaves......... I just want to kick back and make lather all day! Happy shaves, G
