Thread: The Handmade Soap Company of Ireland, Soap, Shaving Soap and Lotion

I just got back from a visit to Ireland. It was great. Along the way I was looking for Irish shaving soaps. I found them so I bought their Real Mans Soap, a Shaving Puck and Aftershave Lotion. All of these products are made by The Handmade Soap Company of Ireland. What were they like? Well, the scent is Basil, Lime, Wintergreen & Sweet Orange. Very nice but, like all fragrance, this is a personal choice. I like it. The soap is very good. It makes a great preshave soap with it's copious and creamy lather. I recommend it. The After Shave Balm was also great. Thick and creamy, absorbs into the skin easily and is soothing. Again, I recommend it. As to the Shaving Puck, it's not so great. In fact it's poor. It lathers up reasonably well but it is not a creamy lather and it is not a stable lather. So, it does not cushion well and it dies on the face quickly. So I think you should avoid the Shaving Puck. Too bad, I wish the puck was as good as the soap and lotion.
