I ordeed this after Obie & Majors posts and I have to say it has moved to the top of the rotation.
Now I need another soap/Creme like I need termites - but the 1805 is calling - maybe for the "what do you want for Christmas" list...

I've probably tried 7-8 different soaps/creams over the last 6 months, and this one is still tops. Some have come close, but none have surpassed.

Hi Major - then if you like the 1805, whatever you do, don't try the Trafalgar...it will cause your mind to be blown further. Blue tinge to the cream, scent is killer, as much as I love the 1805, it will always be in my rotation, the Trafalgar, IMO, trumps the 1805....and I know thats sayin' a lot.

So how would you describe the scents? (1805 and Trafalgar) Anything to relate them to?
I'm assuming that they perform the same (read: excellent)

    Thanks in advance...

Yes, they perform the same, the Trafalgar has a bluish tinge to the soap, and seems a richer, fuller scented cream. I guess I would say that the Trafalgar seems to have more "bandwidth" if I can use that term than any of the others I had tried, with the 1805 being my clear favorite, until I tried the Trafalgar in a sample. The Trafalgar, IMO, is like a large bouquet, many of the reviews I had read of it placed it as a favorite, with (according to specs) the top notes being Jasmine, the middle notes being Spice, and the Base Notes being Cedarwood and Sandalwood.

This one is the best of them IMO, and I've tried them all, currently I have the Grafton (very nice), the Sandalwood (excellent), and the miles above, again IMO, the 1805 and Trafalgar.

    Hope this helps...

Pretty good description, Phrank. This reminds me that I haven't used my Trafalgar cream in awhile.

I got my 1805 last month (my first T&H), got a sniff of the Grafton and it seems to a stronger scent than the 1805. Does the Trafalgar also have a stronger scent too, they didn't have it in stock so I couldn't get a sniff of it?

Just ordered me some Trafalgar. This is my first T&H, and I was going to go with the 1805, but it is sounding like the Trafalgar is exceptional. Can't wait, but I'm worried on how I am going to explain to my wife of why I needed another shaving cream

Oh, I'm definitely ordering some of that!!! I can't imagine better than the Truefitt that I have, but willing to give it a shot!
