I just picked up 3 sticks today and tried it out. Smells like lemon cif to me YMMV. It does perform quite well. Can't really complain at £0.49 per stick.

Thanked: 49Apparently it will only be discontinued in the U.K. now, but who knows what the future may hold. I received mine from Amazon a few weeks ago. I have used it a few times and am very pleased with it even at the price I paid. I reapplied it to my face between passes and by the fourth pass I had more lather in my brush than I knew what to do with. I ordered a stick of this with my first "shaving stuff" order, but it was out of stock. Almost one year later I have finally tried it. Slick, nice cushion and felt great on my face. I like the idea of milling it into a puck.

This thread got me so interested I ordered 2 sticks and got them from the UK. Good stuff which lathers well, at least for a "luke-cool" water (my winter mode) face lathering soap. I love the scent because it reminds me of my youth long ago, when we used the bath soap.

Thanked: 55After all the good reviews here and seeing it in the supermarket gave it a shot. Liked smell and lathered fine but was not good for my sensitive skin. Pity. At the price would be a bargain.

Do you use cif in US? Anyone else think it smells nearly the same as lemon cif? Formerly known as jif.

Thanked: 3225We get Vim in Canada Home care brands | Unilever which i suppose is the same thing. No I do not think it smells like Vim to me. Arko might be closer to the lemony smell of Vim.

Just thought I would update my post from January. I tried grating the Palmolive stick in to a mug to make it easier to bowl lather and I must say I was extremely surprised. I Uber lathered it with a few drops of glycerine and the lather was very very full and creamy, and I really loved the scent. It was simply "Uber Good"!!! It is now in my rotation permanently. I really loved it...so much so that I just ordered 3 more sticks from Europe, which should last me a lifetime.
Thanks again Beluga for turning me on to this great soap!Lupus Cohors - Appellant Mors !
