Thread: Something different

I previously posted that all my life (shaving life that is) all I ever new was the cake of soap you bought at the little country store you lived close to. Then I found this site and learned about all the different wonderful things. I was given a container of Sweet Patchouli and loved it. I then ordered a container of line and Blood orange soap. To day I ordered a container of Sandalwood. My niece told me she loved the smell of these soaps. Not only do they smell good but give excellent lather. Now I can't wait until the soap gets here and need to figure out what to do with the 3 cakes of Walmart soap I have. The can of foam I have left over from a year ago I'll probably use for target practice with the AR.

Use the walmart soaps in the shower as regular bar soaps.

Shaving foam is useful to catch swarf when you are drilling holes in stuff.

I use the soaps that I don't like as hand soap in my workshop.

Well I got the Sandalwood soap today from SRD. I really can't smell it at all . I shaved yesterday and normally don't shave for at least 3 days but I really couldn't wait. The lather it made was incredible and it really didn't take very long to get it either. the shave was a little better that the sweet patchouli or it might have been my imagination. but for any reason I really like it whether I can smell it or not. I would recommend those two soaps.
