Thanked: 284Obviously I still love MdC. Almost to the bottom of the Fougere scent. There are some really good cheaper soaps out there too, no doubt. But you gotta try the MdC.
As a side note, Old Town Shaving in Pasadena recently started selling some of their products online, so you can now get MdC from them here in the states.

Although I have not tried Catties Bubbles, I have tried what are considered the premier Artisan Soap makers, i.e Barrister and Mann, Stirling, Mikes, Phoenix and Mystic Waters. Although these are all great soaps, they are NOT MdC or XPEC, IMHO.
In fact should you check out their ingredients, you will find that the group above have ingredients which are far and away better. A KIA has the same general parts as a BMW but it is no BMW, same with the soaps, closest perhaps is B&M, then Mitchells, then Mikes down the line, none are as good as MdC or XPEC. Terms of Lather, Slickness, Post Shave, etc.
Remember I am a noob but jumped in hard and fast.
