Thanked: 3Looking to try new soaps or creams but don't want to break the bank.
I fairly new to wet shaving. Can anyone recommend some good samplers to try? I'm currently using AOS lavender cream. I really like the sandalwood scent, but my wife insisted on the lavender. Other than that, I have no idea which direction to go.

Thanked: 55Cella or Figaro if you like marzipan. Figaro very cheap on amazon. Proraso white also nice and fresh. Also quite new, only tried bout six and these the ones I like. None if which will break the bank but figaro by Tcheon Fung Sing is lovely soap and incredibly cheap.

Many SRD members really like products from Catiesbubbles. I plan to place an order for some very soon,

SRD has a sampler set that u could try. Also I can't remember where I found it but I searched one day for Taylor of old bond street and found some places will give a sampler of 8 to all 12 of their cream scents. Pretty good price too. Search "Taylor of Old Bond Street Sample pack)

Thanked: 3So i found samplers at Maggards. I was going to pick up their artisan sampler and a Taylor of Old Bond Street sampler. would have been 30 bucks. not too bad. As I was checking out I noticed the shipping fee was 10 bucks. ouch. haha. I couldn't justify the shipping cost being 1/3 of the merchandise cost. So the search continues.
I might buy directly from LA shaving soap company. I did some googling and it seems that this company is inspired by Martin de Cadre. Which the MDC brand got really high praise from my local mentor. Any one have experience with this brand?

You should try MdC one time in your life. Everyone complains about the price but a little goes a long ways. It's a hard packed soap in a glass jar. I've used my MDC ten times and it's still at the top of the rim. A jar of MDC will probably last a year or longer.

I can't believe no one recommended this so I will -- Mama Bear Soaps. She has a bunch of cool scents and is reasonably priced.
