    Default Container for Cella.

The side effect of introducing my girlfriend to wet shaving seems to be that I am going through a hell of a lot of Cella. We both love the stuff. I will be ordering a brick very soon. I am looking for a larger container than the red tub to press it into. What would be an appropriate yet classy option? Will a wood bowl keep it fresh? Does it require a sealed lid as it is really a croap with a short shelf life?

    Any suggestions?

Another non classy idea are Pyrex or Anchor Hocking 1 Cup bowls with lids.

Shaving sticks are usually hard soaps. Cella is a soft soap and I don't think it will be practical molding it in a stick container and using it as a stick. A common bowl container will be better I believe.

So no one makes a nice ceramic dish with a lid for this application? That is surprising. Although I have found nothing online either.

I haunt Goodwill's ceramic and glass aisles. Have found many nifty (that dates me) containers that can be used for hard and soft soaps.

This is what I use, in fact I just finished shaving with Cella Crema Sapone Extra Extra Purissima...(going all in - the name for the 1kg block)

I divide the 1kg in to 100g chunks, vacuum seal them and work out of a 100g in the Anchor Hocking 1 cup container with a lid.

We could start a whole other thread on the subject, but this has to be one of the best "Values" in shaving soap - I can see getting 1000+ shaves out of the 1kg bock - that is unless you PIF half of it as many of us do in our efforts for the cause...

Over here I use these stainless steel tins for soaps such as Vitos just squash them in.
