I have several and they give excellent lather and you have a choice of many different scents. My favorites so far are Cavendish, Maple Vanilla and Nutmeg, Chocolate Bourbon, Sandalwood and if you like Menthol the Frost Byte is real strong. I am also trying the Aftershaves that match the soaps but don't have a review yet. I haven't tried the razor. bj

I've read good stuff about the razor. Price is very reasonable IMO. The main difference with the double open head is it leaves behind lather so you can do multiple strokes without re lathering. The blade also rinses of very easily under the tap. I've never used it, these are just my thoughts based on other reviews I've seen. If I was still DE shaving I would probably consider it.

Thanked: 375I just purchased the razor a few weeks ago, I couldn't help it the price is reasonable and the razor just looks cool. As far as performance I would say it's good, it's not my Merkur Slant, but good.
What I noticed with this design is it seems to build up the lather in the comb and cap which I think is the designs intended purpose and it creates a bit of a buffer like it's hydroplaning. With a few tweaks of the angle I reduced that and got some pretty nice head shaves out of it.
As far as the material it's made of, I'm going to go out on a limb and take a guess and say it's made out of Brass that's chrome plated. It's weight is comparable to an old Gillette Ball Tech IMO - Good razor!
I have never used their shave soaps, but I ordered an Aftershave called "N" Orange, Tonka, and Cedar I believe, it's a great long lasting scent that's not over powering.CHRIS
