    Default Recommend a Fougere Soap

I am looking to try a fougere soap but there are so many options I can't make up my mind. What would you guys recommend? I know MdC Fougere gets a lot of praise but I'm not looking to spend $65 on a single jar. Thanks.

If you spend the money for that jar, it will be the best investment ever. Using that up is hard to do, as you load the brush properly! Best bang for the buck, IMO

I've been looking into Fougere soaps recently and two that I'm torn between at the moment are Tiki bar and Phoenix. Most likely I'll get tiki because the land locked scent I have is amazing, performance and scent. For $14 how can you not.

Of course if I ever decide to dish out the cash for MDC it will be the Fougere scent.

I have the classic MDC and have shaved with it at least 50 times. The threads of the jar still have some left. It will last a Loooong time.
If I can ever fill-in and use up some other stuff, I am gonna get that jar of Fougere MDC.
    Somehow, someway.........

Per the MdC website a jar is designed to last one year. The instructions do say to leave the jar open.

I think a jar will last longer. I only do about 8 light swirls with my brush. You can barely see any soap on the tips. Then, as you face lather ... boom ... a great lather explodes. YMMV

D.R. Harris cream I've used once and loved the way it smelled. I believe it's a fougere scent. To be honest, I didn't use it, it was used on me at a local barbershop. Almost bought some, maybe should have.

    Edit, sorry, the Arlington scent

I close my jar. A year? I will use it for five! Maybe more. Awesome stuff!

Perhaps they want you to leave it open so it dries out and more is used. Then they can sell you more? Lovely lather, MDC!

Tried Maggard fougere, not that impressed. MdC is amazing. Passed on barrister and Mann but wish I would have purchased a jar. I hear english fern penhaligon's is awesome

Been using MDC six of seven days weekly for the last two months and haven't put a dent into the top of the soap. I think this stuff will last longer than a year. It's well worth the money.

Ok... Ok... It didn't take much arm twisting. I'm going to order a jar of MdC Fougere. I have always been wanting a jar but I just need to bite the bullet and fork out the cash. Thanks for enabling me guys.
