Default Martin De Candre,,, Thank You Howard !

    Hey Guys,
Just a short thread to thank Howard (SirStropalot) for passing along a jar of Martin De Candre. He did this back in November & I wanted to wait until my testing with this cream/soap was over before posting this.
I'm not sure when or if I would have gotten around to this cream, it was not on my "buy list" at the time, sure glad to have it now.
All I will say is , a little goes a long way, great Lavender scent and it gives a nice whisker softening cushion.
Here are a few photos of it in action.

    Thank you for you time,
    Hirlau

Yeah, John. Looks like you are wasting lather!
I have taken to a smaller brush, face lathering with it and still have too much. I brush it out, wring the brush, and wipe it off on the scuttle's edge and cover it. Fire up the scuttle next shave and still have plenty. Best stuff ever in quality and value, JMO.
Not that I was ever going to take the plunge and buy it... Tarkus (Darl) gifted it to me.
He showed me how to not be so cheap!

    Nice Work, Howard!

The MDC is beautiful stuff, and that jar there should last you about 5 years...I've been using mine for better part of a year, and it pretty much looks the exact same...and as in the old Brylcreem day's...a little dab will do you...a little goes a long way.

it has that semi-hard texture in the jar, not really like a cream,,,,

Oh, it's a soap. Pay no nevermind to that upside down jar, toss the lid stuff. I screw it back on after every use.
Want to keep all that goodness in!

...yes, I'm told the proper expression is that MDC is a "croap"...whatever the %^$& that means....

    John,

I was sure you'd like it.....nice stuff huh?

I like a lot of soaps, but MdC has become my benchmark for a great soap!

Enjoy it in good health..my friend!!

    Best Regards,

    Howard

    John

I think you are overloading the brush. JMO

I do 8, maybe 10 light brush strokes and there will be plenty lather available.

Your water hardness may be a factor.

Agreed. All others are a step below MdC.

Thanks for sharing that John. I am another believer that all soaps are downhill from MDC.
