Best shave cream for 1960's Sears Hot Shave Machine
Title pretty much says it all. I bought an old Sears Hot Shave Machine tonight at a pizza place that also sold all their pictures and decorations on their shelves and walls. I asked the guy how much he wanted and he said $5. I had to do some minor cleaning but when all cleaned up, it works perfectly. Only problem is with the Gillette 11oz aerosol creams when I pop the nozzle off to expose the nipple, it's not long like the old ones and cream fills up the inside of the machine because the nipple is too short. Does anyone know of a aerosol cream that's actually made for these kinds of machines?

Would that machine be a Lather King, like the barber shops use? Or more like a Conair HLM10?
The barber machines use a solution that is readily available at cosmetology supply stores.
The conair says something about taking "6-11oz" cans of aerosol shave creams. Considering the era of the device, I would recommend Barbersol for its old-school shape & product. It also has a more predictable expansion rate than those pretty looking gels do once it is out of the can .
Hope this helps!Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.
