    Default Czech & Speake

Wow! I decided to get a puck of Czech & Speake soap after really loving their cologne sampler. I got a replacement puck of the Oxford & Cambridge soap from SRD (since I didn't want to spend another $100 for a bowl). Yesterday I tried it out for the first time and I must say, it was great! The later really exploded straight away for me. It was a very nice slickness, provided wonderful glide, and was very comfortable. I'm still a relative beginner so I'm not the fastest shaver but the soap didn't dry out on me at all. Sometimes I have to re-lather part of my face toward the end of my passes but that was no problem with this. The scent is also wonderful. The lavender-mint combination is great. It's a lighter scent than the Oxford & Cambridge cologne but just as nice. I'd recommend trying the Czech & Speake soaps out if you get the chance.

One of my fav soaps. More expensive than Tabac but is great in all aspects of a shave.

Thanks to Dave sending me a sample of CS 88, I shaved with it today for the first time. Yes, it is a very nice soap for sure. It does lather easily and creates a nice thick slick lather. Unfortunately I can't get past the price as I have other soaps that work as well for me but are much less expensive. I guess it shows how important getting samples of soaps to try first are.

This has always been one of the soaps I've been curious about. But due to price never pulled the trigger. Who has samples of the soap an cologne?

I haven't seen samples of the soap anywhere. If you go to the Czech & Speake website though, at the bottom of the page there's a link for the cologne samples. You can either order their sample pack for £12 with about £5 shipping or you can get up to 2 samples free (plus the shipping). When I tried them I just ordered the sample pack.

It's good soap - made by Valobra, so of the scents aren't a big thing (they are to me) you can buy the Valobra hard soaps somewhat cheaper.

But being a triple milled hard soap, C&S is quite a bit more economical than you might think.

Yea, the soap I compare most to is Tabac which is what I was thinking of in my comments on C&S 88. Fortunately I love the smell of Tabac in the morning.
