Thread: TOBS Sandalwood Hard shaving Soap video review/shave

Have to agree with you and what you are saying about using hard soap pucks. Must be a trait of TOBS soap to have a strong cologne type scent. The TOBS Jermyn Street soap has a strong cologne type scent also, lathers well too. I like strong scents.

Thanks, Bob! I think that you are correct. I don't have any other TOBS but their Grapefruit scent, but they have been perfumers for a long time, I think, so it makes sense to me.
I like the cologne type sandalwood, as well as the more woody type, but one of the failings in a lot of sandalwood scents is that their scent strength is low, IMO. I think Sandalwood essential oil is expensive, so a lot of soapers add more scents so that they can boost the strength level and still keep cost down. A lot of them end up burying the sandalwood scent altogether. At least this one does not suffer from that malady.
Lovely scent, IMO.
