Truefitt & Hill 1805 Luxury Shaving Soap, experience ?
Hey Guys, has anyone used this ?....I'm toying with the possibility of buying it.
It is very difficult to find a review, which could be a warning sign in itself.
Any observations will be much appreciated.

I've tried the T&F 1805 cream but not the soap. Great scent, glide, and cushion. I bought the big tub a few years ago and I still have it and it is still part of my rotation. I don't think you will disappointed if you buy it.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

I have only seen one review of a Truefitt & Hill soap and it was a negative review.
Going along with a lack of reviews being a warning, you see Truefitt & Hill creams regularly in the SOTD but not so much the soaps.

I have used the soap. I purchased it in a sample 1/4oz container. I never bought the full size because I wasn't real impressed. The scent is manly an old barber shop feel to it. Overall it was good just not my favorite. In the TH line of soaps I like the grafton better. I would recommend going an getting the samples to try before spending the big money. Good luck

I've only tried the Creams, Ultimate Comfort and Trafalgar.
And I've used up the UC - it worked well for me - and I was thinking about 1805 for the next one...

It's one of my absolute favorites, hands down.
I had heard that it was discontinued and was replaced with the Trafalgar, and equally magnificent soap, but it's not the 1805.
Personally, I'd grab it, if you don't like it, PM me....on second thought, being we're half a world, won't happen - I think you'll love it.

New formula...like the Trafalgar, Sandalwood, Grafton those flavors? I find since they are a glycerin based soap they literally explode with lather using the tiniest dab of the stuff, the scents are very nice, but my face tends to pay for the glycerin I think, find it very drying.

I've not tried any of the T&H creams and I don't want to.
I'm moving away from ALL creams and concentrating on soaps only.
The 1805 soap seems to be quite a bit more expensive and as mentioned before, the reviews are few and
far between and when they are given they're generally negative.
Thanks for the feedback so far and please share any observations you havehttp://straightrazorplace.com/workshop/18504-welcome-workshop-how-do-i-where-do-i-what-do-i-answers-here.html

Have you considered D.R. Harris soaps? I have the Arlington shave stick and it leathers great and has a pleasing scent.
