    Default Soap Samples

    In two recent orders from SRD, I got some soap samples, packets of some shavings. I don't have spare bowls to pack them in to use them, so I'm wondering if I can just sprinkle a few shavings into my scuttle with a small amount of water to soften them, then build lather from them that way? I'm thinking they're more likely to just swish around and never break down, but I'm not sure how else to actually use them.

    Buying more bowls isn't an option I'm willing to consider, as I generally prefer creams and thus don't need more bowls.

    Just use any old coffee mug or tea cup.

    a few seconds in the micro wave will soften the soap up enough to reds it into the bottom of any old small bowl and give the the ability to load that brush. If you put it in for very long it will pop and make a mess or burn the soap. So small increments is best.

    Our kitchen will be overflowing with mugs and cups if I ever clean out the soap cache.

    I certainly do have plenty of coffee mugs around. I'll give one a shot. Thanks!

    These work excellent for me for samples. If the soap has a label, I cut it off and wet the back and stick it to the side of the container. I found out the hard way as to why you shouldn't use the labels on the lids.

    Also, when samples are too small for easy bowl lathering, just rub them on your wet face, take your damp brush, and practice building lather on your face!

    Whenever someone asks about using a soap sample , I show this video, this is the way I use the samples. I don't put a whole sample in a bowl. Just some hot water in the bowl & cut'em like Paulie does;
