    Default St James of London

    Hi
I ordered a sample pack from St James of London. A few shaving creams and after shave balms.
Have any one tried this brand before?

Made by Creightons, they used to be the hottest tip when it came to shaving creams. About a year or so ago, Creightons introduced new labels and doubled their prices. Which means you still get very good, but no longer breathtaking value for money.

At the time of writing, "AU15" will get you 15% off. You also seem to get 30% off with their "end of summer sale". Which would make these products very interesting again.

More interesting, though, are their Truefitt&Hill #10 line (currently on sale, and the voucher works, too), and, of course, groomed. Groomed has cheap scents, but the same performance as other Creightons products in my experience.

    Good stuff all around.

I have some of the Black Pepper and Lime shave cream. I really like the scent, and the performance of the cream is great. I get a nice, rich lather from it. The skin care is also top notch in my opinion.

Although evidence is purely circumstantial, I would encourage everyone who owns English creams to check the manufacturer's address. It's odd how many have their production facilities in the same spot as Creighton's. Which might explain why they work so well...

It's a bit of a shame that Creighton's bottom line products seem to have been discontinued. They were real bargains, if you could live with the pedestrian scents.
