D.R. Harris Windsor Shave soap
I'm not good at reviewing shaving soaps, so I'll keep it short.
I bought the Windsor and have used it about 6 times over the last 2 weeks.
It's good, very good, and what you would expect from DRH.
The cushion, glide and latherability are top notch.
The scent is a little too weak for me compared to Marlborough and Arlington.
It could be that the above 2 are just more "gentlemanly" to my nostrils
In order of preference, I'd go :
1. Marlborough.
2. Arlington.
3. Windsor.
I'm glad I took Phrank's advice and bought this and it will stay in my weekly rotation

bongo,
I find the D. R. Harris soaps in the top tier of my preferred list. They do everything a quality soap is supposed to do. The fragrances are modest and do not overwhelm, which is how I also like. My favorite scents are, in no particular order, Arlington, Marlborough, Windsor and lavender. Good stuff.

Thanks for the review, bongo.
I have the Arlington shave stick and it's my top performing soap, edging out Tabac. I'm biased toward tallow soaps. I also have a sample of the Arlington aftershave. I'll be buying a full bottle next spring since it's a summertime scent to me. My order of preference for the Harris scents are 1) Arlington, 2) Windsor, and 3) Marlborough.

I have found I prefer croaps an creams more than hard puck soaps. But with that being said there will always be a place in my rotation for this wonderful bowl of Windsor. I love everything about that soap. The scent is mild but sooooooo good! Arlington is good too, but I find it a bit floral for my taste. Swmbo is a fan of Arlington for shaving her legs. Gave it to her.

I have the Windsor soap on my wish list and have been curious about the almond. I had the Marlborough cream in a tube at one time. It irritated my face somewhat so I gifted it to a friend who likes Sandalwood scents/flavors.

A very nice review, for which many thanks. I liked this soap so much I gave it to my father-in-law. And he only gets my second best soaps...

Thanked: 72Great review and I too have been using a puck of Windsor for a couple of weeks. Excellent lather and very mild scent, which I am sometimes in the mood for. Based on your recommendation, looks like
I'll be picking up a puck of Malborough. Thanks!
