I agree with BobH, Spendur and Harry. Limiting yourself to one type of soap eliminates a lot of the fun with wet shaving.
Try different types. The SSAD will soon kick in and the need for a larger cabinet will be your main worry.
Have fun, it is just soap.If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Thanked: 44I've tried soaps and creams of all different prices, KY jelly, oil and just water and (apart from water only, which takes more care when shaving to prevent dig-ins) I honestly couldn't say any of them makes much of a difference to me. What am I missing?

Thanked: 44That's not what I heard As the impeccably well-dressed gentleman with the lisp and the funny walk who lent me the tube said,"Don't knock it until you've tried it" I agree with you about producing a good lather making a difference, I just don't see much difference between the various soaps and creams.

Lather from soap or cream, if it's good stuff and you do your job , theres no difference , so just man up and get it if that's what you want. Tc
