    Default Meibner Tremonia

Recently purchased a Ralf Aust razor and received two complimentary soap samples of Meibner Tremonia. I've been looking for a different soap for a while and thought I'd try the samples with my test shave with the new razor...1st night I built lather as I did with my standard soap and though I appreciated the scent, and qualities the soap afforded, the lather was good, but, didn't jump out with anything I either hoped or expected from a new quality soap. Tonight I used it again but this time, I squeezed the excess water out of the brush...not dry but not saturated...about 40/60 revolutions in the soap dish and probably added scant water according to the developing build in the brush and then went to the lather bowl...within a short period of time, I had lather like I've never had before...seriously creamy lather. I did a 3-pass shave and the lather was there and offered the same quality with each application. I've found my soap, period! The scent was great, the shave was smooth...2-nights in a row with 3-pass shaves and I have no nicks, irritation...sensitivity. I actually read up on the soap after the two shave and it is loaded with the good stuff...quality natural products versus chemicals.

I'm not a flowery guy, jeans, sweat and flannel shirts on my off time...don't get on the "new thing" band-wagon, somewhat of a minimalist, saving my money for things I can't or won't do myself...Razors, brushes, soaps. With that said and in recognition of the fact that a well honed/stropped razor, proper shave prep, soap and technique are the difference between pleasure and misery, I throw this out for those of you who are looking for a different shave soap...I love this stuff. Did I say it smells great> It does...a multitude of scents...

In my opinion Meiber Tremonia is not for the faint of heart. The scent is very very strong compared to the other different soaps and creams I have used in the past and for me it took some getting used to. That being said I use my dark limes scent regularity in my rotation. For me it took some getting used to but once I got used to,the very strong smell it has become one of my all time faverite soaps to reach for .

They have a variety of scents, not all of them overly strong (Gentle Menthol, or Exotic Elemi come to mind).

What really sets them apart is their exclusive use of organic essential oils. Their scents are, as a result, clean and well defined.

Meißner Tremonia's lime scent is dried lime. Totally different animal, and, thankfully, less sweet than your typical "fresh" lime fragrance oil.

As an aside, it's "Meißner", not "Meibner". The ß is pronounced [s].

Admittedly, I enjoy nice scents...burn incense, balsam scent candles, so the scents were pleasing to me, (Lavender & Buckets of Milk...something Milk anyway). Ordered a different scent soap which hasn't arrived yet. The scent was pleasing but it was the quality of the soap/lather, glide during the shave and nice skin condition post shave that I appreciated & was the seller to me. They do offer unscented as well. I'll give the one's you guys mentioned a whirl down the line. Thanks for your take(s).

Appreciate you comments...scents being nice....the quality, (lather-creamy, long lasting...glide, and post shave skin condition), that sold me. They do offer unscented as well.

    I like the un-scented 'Purist'.

I have 3 scents, the Dark Limes previously mentioned, the Morroccan Rhassoul (which reminds me of bay rum), and the Strong N Scottish. I have a sample of the grapefruit that I haven't yet tried. All three are great, and the glide is wonderful.

I used the Indian Flavour (paste) this morning and had a very nice shave. Great scent, IMO. SRD also included a sample of Dark Limes (soap) and one of Moroccan Rhassoul (paste). I look forward to using them.

Strong 'n' Scottish is my absolute favourite... ever! I love it. It's top of my Christmas list and as all my various makes and scents are used up, none will be replaced - SnS will become my only shave cream. Wonderful.
