    Default Santa Maria Novella

I was almost out of the cream I bought online, and since I have been wanting to actually smell their products I decided to go to their only store in S. Fla, which is at the Bal Harbor Shops on Miami Beach. As I waited in a line of vehicles to enter the mall from Collins Ave, the five vehicles in front of me were a red Bentley, a silver Rolls Royce, a 7-series BMW, a Range Rover, and a black Ferrarri (I am not making this up). It has been years since I was at this mall, and it definitely is not your average mall.

Drop dead gorgeous models dressed for the runway walking through the mall to show the latest fashions from the various shops. Many of them were accompanied by a male right off the cover of GQ modeling as well. I ate lunch with a friend at a sort of sidewalk cafe. We both had salads and iced tea and the bill was right at $100. The models coming by while we ate sort of made up for it......almost. :-)

Went to the SMN store, and went through all the scents so I know what I like and what I don't. Bought my shave cream and will go back to buying my products online. :-)

The cream was $71, just like it is online. Upside is it lasts well and is a really nice cream.

I'd like to get some Santa Maria Novella aftershave.
Seems like no one sells it in Canada. Found a few sites online.
I'd like to at least try and see if I even like the smell of it.
Is it over there or over yonder?

$71 is rather pricey. Merz has it here in Chicago. But I haven't gone in on it because if I pay that and find that it is only marginally better than Arko I'm going to want to kill myself.

I bought some about two weeks back. It is pretty nice, has a great scent, and I really enjoy using it knowing the history of the company. I must say however that I think Martin de Candre is much better.

Sounds like you need to go to Florida for a winter trip.

Winter trip to Florida? I could think of a million other places to vacation at.... no offence to any Floridians.....lol
When I lived in South Carolina, my ex's family lived in Ocala, FL.
Been there many times. Even did a vacation near Hollywood Beach. I-95 was fun to drive on...... Getting passed at 80 mph.....lol
Was nice and hot! South Carolina was hot enough....and we even had beaches too...... I'll order online, I'm thinking.

I don't recall seeing any models there but I'm going to stick with Cracker Barrel ...........

BTW, if there is still a Neiman Marcus store in that shopping center, I was one of the ironworkers that built it. Round about 1970 IIRC.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I think Cracker Barrel is where the models end up when they get to be our age. Yes, Neiman Marcus is still there. I am an old concrete finisher, so I am sure if we talked long enough we would find places that we crossed paths.
