Thanked: 2Lather Snafu
Good morning gentlemen.
Just a quick question on bowl lathering.
I mostly face lather, but opted for a warm scuttle of Tabac yesterday morning.
Noticed lots of small bubbles, and lather drying quickly. So...too much water or not enough? Can't remember how that goes.
Thanks for your input.

Ya probably too much water, but maybe not, how hot was your scuttle? Sometimes soap doesn't like too much heat. Tc

Where are you? How long did you take shaving? If it's really dry (low humidity) and you take awhile, it can fade away. I can usually do a slight dip of the brush in water and bring lather back easily for that last pass.
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

Thanked: 2Hi Splashone,
Down here in Houston Tx. Plenty humid here. Not taking long to shave.
Added a bit of water to brush to cover dry areas before flaking started.
Wondering what bubbles in lather is telling me.

Lather is really made up of small bubbles of air. Usually when the lather starts strong and gets weak it's the water temp that is the culprit. Of course it's also possible you didn't use enough water too.
