Thanked: 237I'm in NYC for the holidays and decided to bring my DE and some TOBS. It was hands down the best and easily formed lather I have ever experienced. I'm slightly dissappointed I didn't bring a straight and the xpec. I'm not very good with a DE and my shave was decent, but I know if I had my straight it would have been one of the best shaves of my life. I'm going to assume that the hard water I shower in is the culprit. It's also what I have to rinse my brush with, so no matter what water I use to make my lather there is always this dark cloud of hard water following me around. I can not wait to move into a new area of the world that has decent water!

I,m puzzled myself, I haven't had any trouble with the new formula after I added a little more water to it, and I've used it in a few different water situations, the set water at home and the hard crap in southeastern New Mexico, to the water in the ozarks, I keep it in my travel bag. Not my favorite because the smell is not to my taste but it seems to travel well. Tc

Gentlemen,
I find Xpec to be a superb shave cream, and notice hardly difference between the old and the new version. It creates luxurious lather with the proper cushion and glide, and I love the scent.
