Thanked: 72I'm definitely over soaps that need working.
I've probably got thirty soap companies represented in my shave den and of those, some soaps (good soaps) just need way too much foreplay. I'm over load, water, adjust, load, adjust, lather, water, adjust...finally a great lather.
I like Load, Lather, Shave. D.R Harris, Catie's Bubbles, Boellis Panama 1924, Saponificio Varesino, TOBS...these soaps are just so low maintenance and high performance. I have three Ballenclaughs on their way because I hear the same from them. We'll see.
Eventually someday, I'm looking for a soap that negates the need for a brush. I wanna stare into the tub and have the lather jump on my face.

Wait until the aliens land.... I'm sure they have some shaving soaps that will jump up and lather ya up.
Actually wouldn't be a bad thing some days......lolIs it over there or over yonder?

I understand. Sometimes I need to shave in a hurry and I don't have time to mess with fussy soaps!

If I'm truely in a hurry, I take a stick of Tabac, Rinse it under hot water en just smear it on my face.
Give it a quick whip with either my hand or a brush and of I go.
Still takes about 15 seconds, so thereĀ“s room for improvement. :-)_____
Friend, do not try to borrow combs from shaven monks.

I agree on the Caties Bubbles. I probably coulnt get a bad lather if i tried. Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements is another "cant go wrong" for me
On the other hand, i have trouble with Soapy Bathman. I love the slickness and glide, but for some reason i usually have to reload the brush for a second pass. Mabey its better for bowl lathering?
