+1 in that it's good to see you back and I'm glad you're getting/feeling better everyday.
I like heresy. Always have. Thanks for the post. I have found the same path. I started with cheap=ok soaps/creams then went to the expensive=oh this is what a good soap/cream is to finally consistently great soaps/creams that rank as high as any but =cheap. Keep up the heresy and happy holidays to you. What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

If you add in shave sticks you have a whole other list of inexpensive yet excellent lathering soaps. I think so much depends on if you are a "fancy pants" or not. If you are then all the function in the world will not trump the amount of money spent on a product. The more money spent the better it is because....well.....its fancier. Especially to others looking on. People in this camp seem to thrive on cost, packaging, presentation, ect. While function is overshadowed by these things. The other camp is more of a functional group. What works irregardless of price or pomp. They seem to factor in cost savings just as much as how a product works. You can have two excellent shave soaps but one camp will take the more expensive one because it is fancier and the other camp will choose the one that's cheaper. Don't get me wrong here. There is NOTHING WRONG in my opinion with either camp. They both have pluses and minuses. There is something to be said for pomp and primp. Style and class. There is also something to be said for practical and simple.
Again, in my opinion, this list you have shared with us Richard includes both camps. A great way to have simple class and practical style. Thanks again. What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Thanked: 2284I may have just got a bit carried away, but, they were cheap. Just bought 5 tubes of different shave creams. After seeing this thread, and already having some European creams that I like, I thought I'd pick some more up. Here's what I got coming.
