mlucassr - I am truly humbled by your generosity. My fear is that if I get any more soap (before using what I have), well it would create a conflict with my significant other. I need that like I need a hole in the head. To date I have around 15 different pucks of soap and around 10 tins of soap that I haven't even touched yet. But Thank You! Your offer is very gracious.

Johntoad57, that is indeed a very gracious offer on the part of mlucassr, and if I were you I'd take him up on it, as Klar is indeed a fantastic soap, although the tin it comes in leaves much to be desired. I also have trouble in this regard with my significant other, and I think she'd be fine with an addition if I told her it was a free gift from a forum friend. When I started with my case of SAD (soap acquisition disorder) she used to make fun of me, putting on a mocking "sissy" voice and saying "oooh, you got another pretty perfume soap? Do you want me to buy you a pretty makeup armoire/vanity so you can display all your perfume soaps for your friends to see?" Implying it was somehow "unmanly." I lovingly explained to her that there was nothing unmanly or "sissy" about using a razor-sharp piece of steel to scrape the thick beard off my face daily without fear of blood gushing cuts and if "perfumed" soaps made this more enjoyable and efficient, then where was the harm in having a few? ...it didn't work. She continued making fun of it and I repeated it a couple more times without effect. Then I (as lovingly and graciously as I could muster) mentioned that the soaps I bought were still far, far outnumbered by her assortment of facial moisturizers, eye moisturizers, night moisturizers, face moisturizers, lotions, potions, and other voodoo creams (not to mention... which I didn't... makeup, jewelry, shoes, purses, etc). I got a dirty look and the cold-shoulder for a couple of days, but then that passed and it hasn't been brought up since, despite a few soaps coming in the mail since then. So, it was kind of like ripping off a band-aid... it "hurt" for a little bit, but now it's fine. Now I don't know YOUR significant other at all, so try at your own risk.

I have been using Edwin Jagger soaps for quite a while now and have always found them to be quite lacking. I have been meaning to try some new soaps out but have not really know where to start. This list will be perfect to give my search a bit more direction.

So this morning I did this Benz! What an experience. The lather this made was almost most like cool whip (consistency). It was creamy and thick. I added a couple drops of glycerin to be on the safe side. That was a great experience and I enjoyed it. Was a little messy but worth the effort!
Thank you very Much!Semper Fi !

71L it looks as though you have traveled where I'm just beginning. I started to have a conversation with the wife unit about soaps and I could see her rolling her eyes. So instead of patronizing her, I just told her I'll just leave it alone for now. She smiled and told me I'm like a fart in a wind storm. What does that mean?

Thanked: 250Glad you like it John although I can't claim credit. A good guy here, Mike aka outback, told me about soap concoctions and I'm just passing it on. My water is extremely hard and Creamo mixed with any soap gives me a good lather. I think I could get a good lather out of Granny's homemade lye soap with it.
