That's the one....first shave stick I ever used, and IMO, a first class soap in every way....I've grated a tiny bit off the top and lathered in the scuttle as well as face lather - great scent, great performance, and my son thinks a shave stick is the most brilliant idea in the world....rub on the face, slightly damp brush, and presto, he was literally amazed that so many soaps can be had in shave stick format.

I read that De Verguld Hand has been in production for several hundreds years.

Your son is one up on me. I never knew shave sticks existed till I was almost 60 years old. I wish I had of known about them earlier as not only do they work so well, they are terrific for travel, imo. A real space saver with no chance of leaking in a travel kit.

+1, I have been using shave-sticks almost exclusively for the past four years as they are less work and allow me more time while face-lathering as I can eliminate having to load the brush in the container. Besides, as Bob states, they are superb travel companions.
The great thing is that you can make almost any soap into a shave-stick, although my shave-sticks all have Mystic Water soap in them.

The LPL Oud Santal LE Tallow is my favourite soap fantastic scent and performance, on the other hand all the the other non tallow LPL soaps I've tried went straight in the rubbish bin absolute crap, If the new LPL tallow based products are all like this then they get my vote fantastic no doubt.
