Thanked: 30I'm planning to pick up some of this soap when I'm in Paris next month. I've read that you can find MdC in Paris at Planet Rasoir and Printemps Hommes. Anyone ever been to either store?
Any tips on how to make the perfect lather with this stuff?

I think you'll find making lather is very easy with MDC. It almost makes lather by itself.

I just walk into the shave den and clap my hands twice then lather up, 3 claps it stops making the lather and cleans up for me. Tc

Does anyone else get a little dryness or sensitivity from the fougere?
I love the scent of this one more than the original, although they're both very lightly scented. I could go back to original, but it just seems that fougere is more of a cologne-like scent I'd like to stick with it.
So far using Lab Series Razor Burn Relief Ultra as a post shave which is good for my skin and the weather here. Other times I use a little of Baxter of California's balm or what I have left of the original formulation of Roger & Gallet's L'Homme ASB.
Only other software I use is the XPEC scented shaving cream in the current formulation, which works a treat.
Am I the only one experiencing this?

Thanked: 52i have quite sensitive skin and the fragrances of some soaps set my face on fire. the mdc fougère is none of them, but it irritates my skin slightly when the shave takes too long. no issues with the unscented version. i also have a travel size jar of their classic soap, but i have not used it yet.

Interesting, thanks for the response, Hans.
I shaved with the fougere again today and it was OK, but I am getting a very slight tingling/itchy feeling around lunchtime (so a good 4-5 hrs after the shave). I suppose it could be my old formulation Roger & Gallet aftershave balm here. I should just use the Lab Series or crack open the new tube of Baxter's balm that I have. That should be a good comparison. Don't have this issue with XPEC mind you...
