Not for me due to the tallow. I agree with the OPs lanolin love though, which is why atm I'm ueberlathering with musgo real cream and various soaps. That cream contains lanolin and makes for a lovely lather. My go to soap at the moment to mix with is my grated mix of IK, meeresalgen haslinger and Edwin jagger aloe Vera soap. Found the latter two too boring in the scent department and didn't like the meeresalgen scent. All together and with the MR cream however the scent is truly enjoyable.

+1 on Scottish Fibe Shaving Soap! It moved to the bottom of my short list and is staying. Another boring scent , but very good after shave feeling and mounds of lather. Tc

Thank you Druid. This was the first soap I ever owned, right when I started out...and I could never get it to work for me. Now that I have a few years under my belt, perhaps it's time to return to the fat! Thanks for the reminder.

MWF has always been in my top tier. It's my go to soap on Wednesdays. Menthol Monday, Tabac Tuesday. Thursday and Friday I switch it up with new artisans

MWF is my #1, but it's all a Matter of personal preference. Some have issue whit it and some dont, i'm in the category of no trouble whit it. I also found the after shave feeling incredible, i also found that the tech to make it lather is the same has WMS(Williams modern) and i have no trouble whit Williams so. The differences whit those 2 is the quality of the shave, MWF is my #1

While I don't care for the scent at all, I never fail to get a great shave when using MWF.

Like many others I had my problems with getting a good lather from MWF in the beginning. I don't have that problem now so it was operator error on my part as it is with a great many lathering issues. I had never used hard soaps before only creams all my life so it took a while to figure things out.

The lather I get from MWF is more than good enough for me. The scent I do not mind as it is a clean yester year type old fashioned scent. Nothing fancy at all.

I don't rate soaps/creams and just settle for they either work or they don't for me. Very few haven't worked well enough to get a decent shave from either.

Spendur, my friend, thus far I have three tiers. I am thinking of adding a fourth: BASEMENT.

As for Mitchell's Wool Fat, it is a fine soap in every way, and I love the clean fragrance. I have it in the Second Tier of fine soaps.

I love MWF. I would have been a top tier soap for me except for 2 reasons. 1. I used it for about three years straight and got a little burnt out on it. 2. It is a soap that reaches its best potential when used daily. If you just use it occasionally it can sometimes be inconsistent
