Not sure why you want to keep you soaps in a pond of water.

i keep the 1 ounce soaps from Colleen in small gladware containers. to use them i soak my brush in a large latte mug of hot water for 5-10 minutes, shake the water out, empty the mug, swirl the brush on top of the soap 6 or 7 times pump it up and down a few times then move the brush to the latte mug, it is now loaded up will soap. put a teaspoon or two of hot water into the mug and work up a great lather... this method gives me enough lather to cover the face four times with leftover. then put the lid on hte bowl with the soap in it and you are all set.
by the way after a use or two the soap puck will pretty much be "glued" in place.
