    Default Saponificio Varesino Cosmo

I had some Saponificio Varesino Cosmo in my shopping cart, but decided to abandon it. Before I get YASS (Yet Another Shaving Soap). What's the verdict from those who have tried this new formulation. What's the scent? I can't seem to get a straight answer on that.

    Gentlemen,

I have tried a variety of Saponificio Varesino soaps. The fragrance from this soap is intoxicating. Good lather even though I would put it on the thin side. I like the glide, but the cushion does not impress me. Also, I quickly got tired of the entire line.

Some soaps and creams wear longer than others. For instance, after all the years, I am not tired of, say, Martin de Candre, Castle Forbes, Tabac, Le Pere Lucien, D.R. Harris Arlington, and so on. Not so with Saponificio Varesino. Still, it is a quality soap.

I was very happy with the Cosmo shave. Very good glide and plenty of residual glide after the first blade stroke.

It lathered easily, took two dips of the brush to get a silky cream texture and left no razor burn or irritation.

For me, with my water, brushes and technique, I rate SV at the top of the list along with Castle Forbes, Tabac, Czech&Speake and Baum.be. Of course, MdC stands alone as the premier soap for my den.

I have the Felce Aromatica and it's a fantastic scent. My favorite in my rotation. I want to get the whole lineup
