Default First Impression of Haslinger's Sharfsmilch soap

This hard soap loads easily and makes a rich, thick and slick creamy lather without any fuss. It does have lanolin in it and I think I would prefer using it to MWF simply because it is less fussy to use. For me it is an excellent soap for the money. This is the second Haslinger's soap I have tried, the first being their Honig, and both have been excellent in use.

I agree with 100%. Haslinger makes a great soap that quickly and easily produces a rich luxurious lather that gets the job done. So many soaps I use are also great but take alot of fussing about to get into a state ready for a shave. Not this one any noob what have you can make this stuff work IMO. Great soap good value, bullet proof performance.

yep, I have to agree. A good no nonsense soap. Over the years I've tried just about all of them and I think there was one I didn't like (I don't remember which it was) but all the others were great.

No it's not a tier one soap but for the price you can't go wrong.

Yea, it may not be a tier one soap but it won't be your excuse for a poor shave either. Besides that I like no nonsense and don't particularly like to pay for nonsense.

Used the Sharfsmilch for a second time in this mornings shave instead of the planned LPL to see what it would be like with a straight razor. Very impressive shave leaving my face feeling great. No doubt in my mind that it is going to become a favourite soap to use. Well worth a try no matter what "tier" it fits into.

Again I have to agree, I am using about 20 soaps right now and this stuff is one of my 5 favorite soaps to use and almost always goes with me on trips. Good stuff.

Schafmilch is my 2nd soap from Haslinger as well. First was the SPA sandalwood. Both are fantastic in pretty much every respect but Schafmilch takes the lead in post shave feel. I still like MWF but it will see less use from now on.
