Thanked: 3225First impressions Godrej soap round
Was always curious about the small, 50 gr, Godrej shaving soap puck made in India so I got one with this order from Maggards. It is a very small puck and I think I should have used a smaller brush than I did. I was not nearly as impressed with it as a first impression as I was with the Haslingers Sharfsmilch. It did provide a slick enough lather but not as thick as I would have liked so I'll chalk that up to my lack of experience with it and see what future use brings. The scent is pleasant and mild. It did get me through a 3 pass smooth, comfortable and close shave with the new Fine Superlite Slant and Feather blade with no real problems. Despite being a very inexpensive soap it still seems better than the current version of Williams in my use. A serviceable lower rung soap, not bad overall. It may even be better than that after a few more tries with it to iron out my technique with it.

Thanked: 10We've got to stop meeting like this. I saw the Godrej round while I was putting a Maggard's order together and added it. Came in yesterday but I haven't shaved with it yet. Slightly strange smell to my nose, but not bad. Just different.
I think it will work well with my brand new Omega Mighty Midget.Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read. -Groucho Marx
