    Default Captains choice soap problems

bought some Captains Choice North shave soap this weekend because i like the scent. i normally use creams and face lather. Tried it twice so far and can say that i'm having a hard time getting a good lather. first time I forgot to add water to the soap to pre soften it while i showered, tonight remembered but still didn't get good lather on my brush.
Any suggestions or experience any one can share? i don't want to give up on it yet but i'm not very hopeful.

I feel the same way about my Pinaud shave soap,,, so I gave one away & used the other as a hand soap.
Sorry to hear about your disappointment.

I haven't tried North yet, but their bay rum soap took several soaks and shaves before it started to come life. I think I also ended up using a boar brush on it at first to get it to lather. After a few times though it started working right even with a soft floppy badger.
