    Default "Frankensoap" for Your Remnants!

I'm wondering if anybody else does this? I've got one mug with a puck of MWF mashed into the bottom. Smudged in on top of that is a wonderful Stirling sample, some kind of Haitian vetiver and spice. And little by little, as I get to the final scrapings of some of my old samples (Al's "croaps," some Proraso's, bits of this and that), I just press them down in there on top, let 'em stew in some hot water, and get wonderful shaves with the mix, and some interesting surprise scent mixes in the bargain!

In my other mug, what started out as an MDC clone I won as a part of a monthly giveaway package here on SRP has also taken on other bits and remnants. In fact, today I took an old tube of Coates Almond cream, too dry to squeeze out any more, and cut it open. I scraped quite a bit out on top, softened with water, and got the smoothest shave I think I've ever had with that hybrid of wonderful Coates (now discontinued I believe), some Al's in the mix, and maybe a swirl or two of the underlying MDC clone.

Unconventional, but practical, and it works great as long as you're not looking to evaluate or experience some new soap or cream in isolation.

So fess up, does anyone else do a soap "mash-up" with their bits and pieces?

That funny, it reminds me of an old Simpsons episode where Lisa tries saving the family some money by balling up all the soap bits left in the shower.
