Thread: Q about bowl

HI

I bought this bowl and soap and I would like to know if it is ok to keep the soap in this bowl, for picking some soap on the brush. A friend told me that the bowl would get black with time. So,is it safe and do I have to keep some precaution to keep bowl as good looking as possible.

I don't own this bowl, but hearsay on the DE forums is that the soap inside is great, but that particular bowl does not seem to hold up the the bowls used by Taylor's, Trumper's or T&H. The biggest complaint seems to be the finish is a bit fragile. Although if you are getting it filled with soap, the soap is outstanding. It is labeled Kent, but it is Mitchell's Wool Fat soap.

Thanks for the heads-up on the bowl. It's funny, but my RAD must have become quite apparent because when I recently moved jobs, my old colleagues bought me this soap / bowl combo!

Anyway, I have to agree with you on the soap. It definitely produces the best lather among my collection.
