Even though I have over sixty of some of the greatest soaps in the world, I never considered trying a puck of Muhle. But I bought a fancy shaving bowl and it happened to ship with a puck of Muhle Sandalwood.

My shave with it today, I can easily compare to a puck of D.R. Harris, one of my favorite companies. I build up a very good lather on the first pass and an absolute mountain of slick, billowy suds on the second and third passes. Solid Sandalwood scent too. Looks like you can get a puck online for about 12 bucks, which is pretty good.

So, having zero expectations for this soap, I have to say - Nice one, Muhle!

I heard Klar Seifen makes Mühle soaps. I would imagine its identical twin, Edwin Jagger, is also made by the same soap manufacturer.

I have tried the later, and it was pretty good.

European triple milled shaving soaps rarely disappoint.

Yup, tried the EJ sandalwood puck out the other day with the same good results. A local barber carries it for $12.00 CAD so it is easy to get.

Another good one is Haslinger soaps. Very good performance from the Scharfs Milch, very similar to MWF but easier to lather, and Honig which has a lovely honey scent.

Mühle soaps are good, but not exceptional.

I tried the four scents, but as I have more than enough other soaps that I like better, I culled them from the herd in the end.
