Shave stick used like a puck of soap

I did tried this morning 1 of my shave stick(La Toja), but i used it like a puck of soap. I did swirl my boar brush on The stick just like a puck of soap, The result was very good. Since i prefer bowl lathering VS face lathering(personal preference) i was very glad it work well. I also have few differents shave sticks and i Will used them that way to.

I've mashed Arko sticks into a one cup pyrex bowl with great results.

I often buy shave sticks, in part because they are smaller than a puck, and they do last a long while. I cut them up, warm them in the microwave (5 sec at a time, it gets cauterizingly hot super fast) and then press it down in the bowl. I then load my brush in the bowl and face lather with my brush. I find using the stick the way it was intended, is not my cu of tea. I also love LaToja soap. Lather on gents!

Part of my motivation is that there are a lot of nice soaps that come in sticks. I can buy the smaller quantity and get a larger selection for the same money. Plus a stick last quite a while especially as part of a rotation of soaps. I started as sort of a sample kind of program and just think it makes sense for me.

I recently purchased a nice orange smelling puck but was very hard and almost impossible to load to the brush.
I was planning to take it to the shower and after removing the plastic packaging decided to try it as a stick.
A good rub over the whiskers and surprisingly i was able to achieve a great lather.

Hmmm. I do the opposite and use my pucks like sticks.

On a pucks I Find hard to load in my brush I just grate it with a cheese grater in a bowl and then mash it down,, loosens it up where it loads better, I haven't done it in a while cause I only use a couple soaps now, but it works for those hard pucks. Tc
