Yup, after getting over the shock of expecting something very different and two more shaves, the Vetyver is growing on me too.....And indeed the stronger-scented (for me) Fougère with its fewer notes is sliding down my MDC list (although I still like it a lot ).

Yes, I had a shave last night with the Fougere to kind of baseline things again, and had to laugh, Fougere reaffirmed itself as a superb, Tier One soap all the way, if anything, I learned to appreciate the Fougere even more now. Sheesh, MdC really hit it out of the park on this one, got nothing but 'net, and as I feared, with 4 different MdC soaps to choose from, I haven't shaved with any other soap now in over a week, and with four to rotate through, not much need to.

This may be devastating to my SAD......

You need the Unscented too, for use with your more expensive colognes

Your posts are killing me....I have Vetyver and Rose wrapped and under the tree and I'm fighting the urge to use them after reading your impressions. At least I didn't have to sneak them into the house without my wife knowing, as I usually do with new soaps or razors.

One of my earliest posts on SRP was a lament that I couldn't find a rose scent that was powerful enough for my taste. I hate powdery, soft rose. I wanna smell like I got smacked in the kisser with two dozen fresh ones. MdC rose arrived tonight and my prayers have been answered. Damn, that a fantastic scent! My current favorite!!

I have to say though, that plastic tub is a cheeziness that I didn't think MdC was capable of.

I don't know how it smells yet but my wife says it's great, and mine didn't sound like plastic when she knocked on it with a spoon on the phone, plus she compared it to my other jars that I have that I know are glass cause ones broke at the rim, so not sure, but really who cares what container it's in, heck that M&T crap is in a glass jar and it didn't help it. Thanks to TC sending me two MDC soap samples, his kind generosity has caused me to almost become addicted to the stuff.
For Christmas, the wife bought me an original scent and a fougere. I couldn't stop there and ordered the rose and the Vetyver myself.
Both have arrived and I can honestly say that they are awesome!
With the four jars of soap I probably have enough to last a couple or years. Not a bad problem to have. I never realized how good this soap is and what all the hype was about.
Thanks again TC for setting me straight!
