Thread: Penhaligons Bowls

I went and picked up 2 of these the other week from an outlet store for £24 each in bowls.

I had a good smell of them in the store, really nice smelling stuff. I'm going to do a test shave with it when I get the chance this week.

What I wanted to know is does anyone use the bowls, and do they react badly to water? I don't want to lather up using the bowl to find out they soak up water, or swell ect. If they do I'll find something else to drop the soap into.

I have the sartorial in the wood bowl and have had it for a couple years now with no deterioration. it's a quality bowl kind of mid range. Not junky like the Harris Bowls but not like the Acca Kappa Wood Bowls which are super premium.

The sartorial is a heavenly scent by the way and their soaps are top tier all the way.

I've had my Sartorial soap in a bowl for almost two years and the bowl is still in excellent condition.

Awesome! I'm going to test the Satorial tomorrow then Looking forwards to having a play with these soaps. I've heard good things about them! And for the money I expect the best.

You mention the Harris bowls been a bit naff, Now the thing is the gen3 Penhaligons bowls look identical. I'll pop a picture up later and make sure I have the same bowls as you guys.
