    Default Fine Soaps

I'm looking for a little input on Fine's line of soaps. Last week I picked up several of Mr. Fine's AS samples and found that a few of the scents are actually to my liking. I'm planning on picking up at least two bottles of AS and probably a couple of pucks of soap but I wanted to reach out to the rest of the community for their thoughts on whether or not Fine soaps live up to the name. Regardless, I liked the feel of the Snake Bite AS so much that the soap has already made its way onto my birthday list.

I really like the Fine Platinum soap and AS. It lathers quite easily, thick and rich. Great soap for the $, and will buy it again once the big puck is gone.

Supposedly the Fine soap is a clone (or near clone) of the formulation of Tabac soap. At least he is trying to get the same performance. I haven't tried his soap though I have several of the aftershaves and love the scents. I have too much soap as it is, but I do want to try one out to see. I love the performance of Tabac.

I have the Fine Snake Bite soap and would recommend you adding it to your supply. It lathers real nice and has good cushion but it is not an everyday soap. That menthol just gets to be to much and I usually only break it out once a month. Someone said that the numbing menthol would make it hard to feel if you are cutting yourself but I have not experienced that. It cools like an ice cube but you can still feel the blade.

Currently I have the Snake Bite, American Blend and Lavender Pour Homme on my list. My impulse is to simply order each of these but with a birthday coming up it's probably best that I leave most as potential presents.

Today I went with the Green Vetiver AS and while I like it the wife wasn't a fan. Oh well, a good excuse to save money for my nasty case of RAD.

I pulled the trigger this afternoon and ordered both the Snake Bite and American Blend. I have a few other wants that I can always add to the wish list.

"Yes sir, it's as good as you've heard!"-Fine Accoutrements

It might be Fine's tagline but I can't argue with it. My soap and aftershave arrived Friday afternoon and I have to say that I consider it money well spent. The soap readily builds a great lather and I can complain about neither cushion nor slickness. All-in-all I loved both my Friday and Saturday shaves with my new Fine products.

Of particular note is the Snake Bite. While this is the last thing that those who are menthol adverse want to use it may be my new favorite. Admittedly, I'm a practitioner of the cold shave but Snake Bite took it to an entirely new level and when the soap is paired with the aftershave the later seems a touch milder since my face was already acclimated to the menthol. I doubt that I'll be using Snake Bite for my daily shave but I suspect I'll be using at least once a week, particularly since my wife loves the menthol scent.

The American Blend is a great daily scent for me, clean smelling but retaining a bit of character. I suspect that this one will be taking a prominent place in my rather short rotation of soaps.
