The Combination Conversation
As of late I've been seeing a fair number of posts regarding the soap and cream combinations that many of the membership have come to love. I figure it might be nice to collect and share some of these recipes for posterity.
My contribution is what I'm calling Cannon Fat. I've been using Duke Cannon soap for about a year now and I love the scent of Accomplishment (bergamot & black pepper). Recently Duke Cannon Supply Co. has gotten into the shave cream market and that product shares the wonderful Accomplishment scent. The bad news is that this "shave cream" is more like VDH's Shave Butter than what most of us would consider a true shave cream. My solution has been to blend about an almond-sized dollop of the Duke Cannon with my Mitchell's Wool Fat. What has resulted is a great smelling (to me) lather that is about as thick and rich as anything I've experienced.
Okay guys, time to share those not-so-secret combos!
