Russian Shaving Creams
I ordered thes 5 creams a few months ago from a Russian eBay seller. I had given up on them ever arriving and received a full refund from the seller just a couple days ago. They actually showed up today and now I'll have to figure out how to return the refunded money. It was only $16(shipped) for all five creams and the seller even threw in some Rapira DE blades.
I have very sensitive skin when it comes to shaving soaps. I would say that I can only really use about 25% of the soaps that I have tried. These all have little to no sent, which should be a good sign for me.
I'll be trying these out over the next couple of weeks and I'll be sure to update this thread with my results.
I'd be curious to hear about anyone's experience with these, or other Russian soaps.B.J.

Thanked: 3225Hope at least one of them works out for you. I remember buying Russian made camera lenses and having to wait a month or more for the package to arrive in the mail. Seems like long delivery times are still normal from Russia.

Please let us know how well they do.
I have some Russian straights and it would be kinda neet to use some Russian lather as well.

Here's the first one I've tried. I believe it's called "Soapy". I'm really not very good at describing scents but I'll give it a try. It has a fairly light, fresh scent with a touch of menthol. Very nice and not over powering. It quickly whipped into a very nice, thick lather. Lots of cushion and slick, but not too slick. Unfortunately, as I stated above, I have very sensitive skin and this cream doesn't agree with it. It gave me what I like to call "leather face". My skin gets red and puffy and kind of numb, so it feels like leather.
I would highly recommend this cream for anyone that doesn't has sensitive skin. It smells good, lathers easily and performs very well. It's too bad I've got such sensitive skin or I would put this in my regular rotation.
This company also makes an aftershave cream that I have seen. There are a couple eBay sellers that sell them both together.

Are going to put the ones that don't work for up on the B/S/T page? As I would like to try it out.

I think the name of this one translates to "Confidence". And like "Soapy", it's another good performer that I can't use due to my sensitive skin. I'm really not sure how to describe the sent of this one. The only thing that I can really pick out is menthol that you can both smell and feel, but it's still pretty mild. There's another scent in there but I'm at a loss to describe it. It made a nice thick, cushiony lather with little effort. Unfortunately this one gives me what I like to call "acid face". Acid face is characterized by bright red blotches on my face and a very uncomfortable burning sensation. This is an issue with MY SKIN though, NOT THE CREAM. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this soap to anyone without sensitive skin.
