Thanked: 26That Duc de Santal really does sound great by their description:
A warm, comforting, gentle cologne scent. With a musky, dry woody complex with soothing Sandalwood and spicy nutmeg, oregano, clove, coriander oil. A top note accord with intoxicating herbs of basil, fennel and sage oils. And a final touch of lemon citrus, tree moss and exotic patchouli Oil.
A sophisticated scent inspired by nobility, and a sense of good taste.Steve

I got a tub of the Pear scent for Christmas and I have a major love/hate issue with it. The love is for the soap itself, it lathers better than almost any other soap I've used, including Wholly Kaw and D.R. Harris, has phenomenal slickness and the scent is truly heavenly. The problem is that I've had some issue with sensitivity issues myself. The first time I used it I really didn't notice a problem but the second time it lit me up almost as badly as Black Ship Grooming products have. I've given a third try and while I definitely had some burn it wasn't as bad.
If I weren't so in love with the soap I'd probably give up but at this point I'm determined to try a number of scenarios to see if I can find a combination that doesn't cause me trouble. I'll also note that soaps that generally don't bother me have been a bit problematic as of late so I'm wondering if there is something else that has been increasing my sensitive skin issues as of late.Knowledge is power.
